Mr. Todd Hershman - President

After co-founding CIS in 1995 and being responsible for leading CIS’ sales efforts throughout the subsequent two decades, Todd Hershman has assumed the role of President in July 2016.  Todd will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the organization, with the goal of continuing and enhancing CIS’ growth as a national player for world-class professional IT services.  Todd will continue to develop the company's sales force and go-to-market strategy.

A fanatical client-first mentality is what has set Todd apart throughout his career in the technology industry. Todd and his co-founders built CIS on the principle that the best way to ensure they had ecstatic clients was to provide the best possible resources to smoothly integrate even the most complex technologies. Todd has successfully ensured that this notion was never lost, throughout the firm's growth, and directly participates in every aspect of the firm's client relationships. Todd makes it a point to interface directly with as many of CIS clients as is feasible to ensure that their expectations, and CIS' service commitments, are being met and exceeded.  Todd’s leadership will ensure that the company’s tag line “It’s All About the Client” is not just a motto, but is ingrained in every aspect of every employee’s work.

Prior to co-founding CIS in 1995, Todd developed the Sales and Marketing operations for another firm, growing the organization from inception to a renowned regional integration firm.

Todd has been a keynote speaker at Novell's (Now Microfocus) annual BrainShare Conference and currently serves on Microfocuses Channel Advisory Board. Todd has a B.S. in education from Temple University, where he received a full athletic scholarship. While at Temple, Todd was a two-year starter for the Temple Owls football team.

Richard Swinyard - Managing Partner and CFO

Adding an international flair to the organization, Richard brings more than 16 year's financial and commercial experience in technology, professional services, media, and telecommunications sectors.

Richard has served several very large enterprise organizations in media and communications at the executive level, having facilitated the successful sale of the Sanctuary Group to Universal, while serving as the Head of Worldwide Finance and COO for Sanctuary.

Richard directly oversaw the doubling in size, in less than 3 years, of a company similar to CIS while serving as the CFO, Company Secretary, and Board Director at Agilisys, an IT Professional Services and Outsourcing company in the UK.

Richard has a BSc(Hons) from the University of Warwick Business School and was a prize winning ACA with Deloitte.

Mr. Thomas Horne - Managing Partner

One of the Co-Founders of CIS, Tom currently serves as a Managing Partner, dedicating most of his time to management of several large client relationships. Tom has over 25 years' experience in the technology industry, and has worked in various capacities helping shape CIS' operations throughout his tenure. Tom provides clients an ongoing executive-level relationship, while interfacing with all departments within CIS, to enhance communication and service levels, allowing the CIS team to provide the best client experience possible.

Tom has been a featured speaker at CA Technologies' annual CA World event and works directly with several of the firm's technology partners, at an executive level. Tom graduated from LeMoyne College with a degree in business administration

Tom McCabe - Executive Vice President of IT

As Executive Vice President of IT for Computer Integrated Services Tom McCabe is responsible for delivering world-class service to CIS clients through the company's Help Desk, NOC, SOC and Field operations. In this role Tom drives innovative service offerings for improved service levels and sustained client satisfaction. Before joining CIS Tom was Director of Managed Services for ITsavvy, where he brought this global company from being unranked to 7th Top Managed Services Provider in the world. He is a creative problem solver, particularly in situations that demand highly sensitive technologies, such as security with industry compliance. His strengths are in overall Technical Operations which include Help Desk, NOC, Field Support, Vendor Management, Project Managment, Contract Negotiations and seamless System Migrations. Tom has also been an early champion and successful pioneer for migrating client Infrastructire to Cloud Technologies and has migrated 100‘s of clients to the cloud. Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery are also areas of proficiency Tom brings to CIS.

Tom has a 20-year track record in IT and has successfully managed technical support teams for Fortune 100 companies. For seven years he was president of an IT services company that implemented full system business applications for small to mid-sized companies. Tom has also served as Director of Managed Services for ITsavvy, District Service Manager for EMC, Manager of Systems & Networking for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Senior Technical Officer for JP Morgan Chase. Tom has also been used by Symantec as a Subject Matter Expert and has been a Technology Cyner Security Panelist for HIA Long Island Trade Show 2017 (Largest B2B trade show on LI).

Mr. Rob Rawson - Chief Identity Access Officer

Rob has been active in the computer industry since 1978 in positions including sales engineering, product management and consulting to clients ranging from small businesses to international enterprises.

Rob came to CIS after spending 18 years at Novell, where he helped found and later led their consulting program in New York. He was one of the earliest adopters of Novell's Identity Management technologies including DirXML and iChain, and their current incarnations, Identity Manager and Access Manager. Some of the largest and most complex of these IAM solutions were architected by Rob.

Rob and the other members of his SIEM/IAM practice are thought leaders in the IAM space. Solutions developed at CIS led to a concept of "continuous compliance". The project which implemented this approach reduced PCI audit exceptions at a New York telecommunications provider from hundreds to a single one - and that remaining one was simply that there were no exceptions left to audit.

Most recently, CIS developed a methodology called "LiQuiDSOAP™" which is intended to provide a more re-usable framework for the integration of different web service applications, facilitating a greater convergence of identity between internal and cloud hosted applications.

Rob has donated custom software tools, written Novell Application Notes, and presented at Novell's BrainShare conferences in Utah, Europe and Australia. He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology for Computer Science, and brings software development methodologies and acumen to the rapid delivery of Identity Management solutions. Rob joined CIS in 2004.

Mr. James Walsh - Data Center Services Practice Director

Mr. Walsh is CIS' lead engineer and system architect. He began his career in 1983 with the US Army as a computer operations specialist and has experience with Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, WatchGuard, Linux and Novell technologies. Mr. Walsh has been the lead engineer on some of the largest NetWare and Microsoft upgrade projects at numerous Fortune 500 companies including BASF Corporation, Prudential Insurance, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Salomon Brothers. His work has been featured in some of the most prestigious technical magazines in the world, including Computer Reseller News (CRN), Information Week, Information World, and ServerWorld.

Geoffrey Carman - Identity Management Subject Matter Master

Geoffrey is world renowned for his superior knowledge and experience, and is a true global thought-leader in Identity and Access Management concepts. He also wrote the book on the concept. Literally.

Geoffrey has spent significant personal time developing a support community and knowledge base for the Novell/NetIQ Identity suite, and Identity Management concepts in general. He is the author of over 350 articles on topics spanning the IDM world. This work places him as the leading contributor to Novell's Cool Solutions support forum, almost by an order of magnitude. Since 2008, Geoffrey has been one of 27 Novell Knowledge Partners (1 of 3 on the CIS Identity team!), acting as a volunteer supporting a number of products in the Novell forum.

As a member of the Novell Technology Transfer Partnership (NovTTP), a Novell and Eductional (K-12 and Higher Ed) group, he has participated in the online fora, as well as attending the annual conference and presenting sessions. Geoffrey regularly presents at Novell's BrainShare conference when it is held.

Mr. Ryland Marshall - Practice Director: Unified Communications

Ryland is one of the foremost experts in ShoreTel telephony, he joined CIS in 2006 and currently runs the Voice over IP and Unified Communications practice. Ryland’s expertise includes design and implementation of complex IP telephony systems, Cisco networking, Sonicwall firewalls, HP networking, and much more.

Whether he is working with clients designing IP phone systems for thousands of users, or handling an escalation from the telephony support desk, Ryland brings a spirit of both enjoyment and expertise to every engagement. 

In his spare time, Ryland enjoys assembling 12,999 pieces of 13,000 piece jigsaw puzzles, then looking under his couch...

Mr. Nick Seal - Practice Director: Managed Services

The lynchpin of CIS’ Managed Services delivery, Nick has been with the company since 2008.  Before he was 18 Nick held an MCSE and CCNA, in addition to attaining his Associates Degree.  After graduating from the University of Washington, Nick has held certifications with the American Management Association, Microsoft, Cisco, SonicWall, ShoreTel, HP, Adtran, and CompTIA. 

Nick possesses numerous years of experience providing high-end implementation and support services to hundreds of clients of all shapes and sizes. The CIS Managed Services and Remote Help Desk operations report directly to Nick, who personally had a hand in crafting CIS' Service Level Agreements and support offering. Always hungry to tackle something new, Nick enjoys embracing emerging technologies and processes, striving to find the "next big thing" that will help clients be successful in their businesses.

And, somewhere in all that, Nick finds time to enjoy photography.
